Starting a business, running a family and household, and then the blogging....it all takes a toll. And I have such great friends and family too...they deserve better.katiedidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12682823255667624459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-662135918781613306.post-55517918089823590582009-04-30T07:29:00.000-07:002009-04-30T07:29:00.000-07:00I am always humbled by people like your friend and...I am always humbled by people like your friend and Linda's friend. Are they born that way? They make it seem so effortless and natural. Thank God for people like them. This is a great post and a great wake up call for all of us. I am afraid work is all too consuming for many of us - I am guilty as charged on that count too. xvvicki archerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07847183975086900816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-662135918781613306.post-15479854305766100282009-04-29T18:59:00.000-07:002009-04-29T18:59:00.000-07:00Lord, I hate those moments... the ones where you r...Lord, I hate those moments... the ones where you realized you should have - and could have - done something thoughtful, but didn't step out of yourself enough to actually do it. One of my best friends is a recent widow, has a 5 year old boy to raise alone, her job is slowly imploding due to budget cuts, there was no life insurance on her late husband, her house needs tending than she cannot handle alone and can't afford to pay someone else to do. Yet, she takes the time with her son to make handmade Valentines for everyone in his class, she baked up a storm for our local interfaith council Easter food baskets for needy families, she buys little thoughtful gifts for people all the time - nothing extravagant, just little baubles. On top of that, she looks fabulous and just lost 25 lbs. I'm beginning to totally hate her actually! No, really, she's inspiring.Linda Merrillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07484402027814646865noreply@blogger.com
