Which Blue Will Do?
Ok my bloggers, I need help!!! I'm trying to decide which Robert Allen fabric to use as the background on the cover of my new book. I've narrowed it down to eight choices all in various shades of blue. ( Yes, I know they are sort of boring but the idea is to be classic and timeless and to not detract from the illustrations and look similar to the first book - Ugh) The illustrations and graphics on these mock ups will be changed so this is not the final cover design. I will draw a main image that will coordinate and contrast with the background once it is selected.
Please, please, please, comment and give me your opinions, which one do you like?

Choice 3 and choice 1 - in that order. Looks great!
They're all beautiful fabrics but I choose #6 as the best at complementing and keeping the focus on your art.

I think that it would look nice to keep the depth of color the same as the first book. Therefore, I select number 2.
I like 2, 6, and 1. 2 and 6 are really a tie. I think they let the picture of the bed (which is gorgeous) make the strongest statement.
Do you have a date for when the book will be available?
I like #s 3,7 & 8 because the traditional pattern of the fabric goes with the big 18th century-style bed.

#5 is my favorite of all the fabrics.
I really like #8. The pattern is classic and timeless, the muted teal is also in line with the tones you use in your illustrations which gives the cover a cohesive feel. I also like how it contrasts with the cover of your Window Treatments book, they would look great on the shelf together!
8 is my favorite. I like that the pattern is not too muted that it becomes muddy.
I vote for #2 makes your bed graphic pop more and brings the eye to the cover. The other choices I think are a little too bland.
I really like number 2 then 6. first blog from your little sister...
am I too late? 2 is the best color, 8 is the prettiest pattern. go with 2! or 8! haha!! looks so wonderful!!
I much prefer #2. The scale and color really make the cover pop. The other choices are too small in scale.

like the color and flow, openness and classic style of the background. Of course you'll let us know when this beautiful book is available!! Can't wait!!

It pops the most, and you are going to be competing with so many other books on the shelves to catch the customer's eye.

I would select choice #6....it's the traditional vs. contemporary,
feminine vs. masculine tension that is evoked...the image is traditional, yet paired with a slightly contemporary geometric, your script is quite feminine, and the fabric has masculine undertones....tension in design is good, will possibly catch the eye of more.....hope that helps!

#5 It's bold but not too bold to hide your artwork. But I see that I am in the minority!
I get to vote on my first visit! I vote for 2, 5 or 8. #5 may be too strong for the drawing, but it's beautiful.
My favorite fabric is #3, but for a book cover..........#2 looks the best !
