Mixed Media Artist Gabriela Ibarra creates beautiful dimensional still lifes that have an innate energy and vitality that just love.

She looks just as energetic as her art and she has a little daughter named Olive. Isn't that just the greatest name!!

Why is it that that name Olive makes you smile? I loved it being Kristin Chenoweth's name in Pushing Daisies. It so suited her!

Gorgeous mixed media art. Off to look further....

How timely! I'm taking Mixed Media classes on the weekends, and I am off to check out her website for inspiration! I love the white lining and the depth she creates in abstract. You have an amazing sense of freedom when you work with so many media options; and so many outcomes!

Great find Jackie!

Best,
Michelle

Very nice work! I love the layering of shapes and her use of color. Her work also has (to me) a feeling of the orient.

I love Gabriela's work and have two of her paintings! What fun to see her painting pop up on my blog list for your most recent blog post! (Can you follow that one?) I did a post on her a while back - Great minds do think alike! Thanks for sharing.

Oh my - I lied. I love Gabriela's work and I do have two of her paintings and I did use one in a post, but I did not actually write an entire post about her. I have thought about doing so, but when I went back and checked my history, I realized that I never actually did it. So sorry - my mind is not so great after all - forgive me. Your post is lovely.
